
ABOUT US
The Central Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CFAND), a district of the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving the Orlando, Space Coast, and Treasure Coast areas including Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Polk, Brevard, Volusia, Hardee, Highlands, Glades, Okeechobee, Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin Counties by providing evidence-based nutrition information and resources to residents and visitors as well as continuing education and networking opportunities for nutrition professionals.

Our membership is comprised of registered dietitians, diet technicians registered, licensed nutritionists, and students. CFAND members work in a variety of settings including hospitals and clinics, universities and research centers, schools, businesses and industry, public health units, health and fitness centers, physicians offices and private practice.

We provide opportunities for our members to interact with each other and the community by hosting meetings, networking events, learning opportunities, social events, volunteer opportunities and informal meet-ups at various local restaurants and businesses.

In order to be an official member of CFAND you must be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and choose Florida as your state affiliation.

A message from our President
Dear CFAND Members,
I’m honored to serve as President of the Central Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CFAND) this year. Our mission remains to empower members through education, advocacy, and collaboration, promoting evidence-based nutrition for healthier communities.
My focus will be on:

With rising interest in nutrition, we have a unique opportunity to lead and inspire. I’m grateful for the work of our outgoing leadership and look forward to building on their success.
